HURIFO
HURIFO (Human Rights Focus) is a human rights organisation with a countrywide mandate of promoting human rights. HURIFO's head office is located in Gulu District in Northern Uganda. Since its founding in 1994, HURIFO has protected and promoted human rights in the conflict-affected Northern Uganda. HURIFO works closely with the displaced community at various levels to raise awareness of human rights. HURIFO aims to raise the visibility of the plight of internally displaced persons through the issuance of research reports, presentations, and the promotion of legal policy and litigation on displacement issues, including sexual violence and reparations for property damage. The Executive Director of HURIFO is James Otto.
