Centre for the Study of Forced Migration,
University of Dar Es Salaam (CSFM)

The Centre for the Study of Forced Migration (CSFM), established in 1995, is situated at the Faculty of Law, University of Dar es Salaam. The Centre is multidisciplinary in character and draws members from the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and the Institute of Development Studies. Among the activities of the Centre are research, teaching, curricula development and preparation of teaching aids and materials, service delivery/outreach, and dissemination of humanitarian law. CSFM also plays an advisory role to government and lobbies for appropriate law reform on issues relating to forced migration.

CSFM is a member of the African NGO Refugee Protection Network.
